These vividly patterned dishcloths will brighten up your kitchen or delight as a gift to a friend.
There are two pattern variations you can choose from: Eight-Fold Basket Weave & Bird’s Eye/Waffle/Twill. There are 17 colorways to choose from, so look for your favorite colors and you are sure to find at least one! (See color list at bottom of page.)
Suggested use: Use daily to dry hands and dishes while adding color to your kitchen. You can also use the cloth to keep your homemade bread warm in a bread basket, or place the textile on a table with a coordinating vase of flowers.
Materials: 100% cotton in various colors
Dimensions: approximately 16.5”x20” (11.43×12.7 cm)
Care: Hand or machine wash warm or cold with regular or delicate laundry soap ~ air or machine dry on low. Press if desired. The towels are pre-washed to help minimize future shrinkage, yet it is still possible and does not reduce the beauty or functionality.
Handwoven on: 4-shaft floor loom with a 15-dent reed
Special weaving technique: Depending on the towel variation: Medley of Bird’s Eye, Waffle and Twill, or the Eight-fold Basket Weave pattern, from Marguerite Porter Davidson’s A Handweaver’s Pattern Book (ninth printing, 1971)
Finishing touches: Rolled plain-weave hem, and a metal ‘handmade’ hand charm.
